Play Group Therapy

Play therapy is a form of psychotherapy primarily for children (but sometimes, adults) facilitating emotions and expressions in Channelise way. It helps children express themselves and learn about the world through their natural inclination towards play. Play therapy is widely used to treat emotional problems and behavioral disorders of children because it fully meets their unique developmental needs. For children, play is a natural way of communicating, in a sense rehearsing the world they live in and their human relationships. Play has three functions: The first two are conceptual and physical development and the other is emotional expression.

Play Group Therapy

As with so much in the world of children play therapy can immensely help the development of child. This is because kids might not be able to express their difficulties to parents or other adults or understand their own feelings. Even though it could appear to be just a typical playtime, play therapy can involve much more. A qualified therapist can watch and learn about a child’s issues through games. The youngster can then deal with unresolved trauma and explore emotions with the therapist’s assistance. Children can learn new coping skills and how to reroute undesirable behaviors through play.
